TE Connectivity

TE Connectivity makes components for everything with electronics. But it needed to be positoned as the go-to solution for sensors within the engineering community. To do it, we appealed to an audience of engineers that love to watch cars drive very, very fast.

Engineering Racing Greatness

A partnership with Andrettti Autosport led to this Indy 500 project that Fast Company called" β€œan engaging series that puts a STEM spin on why more than 400,000 people show up to watch the annual 3.5 hour race.”

The Car

A look at how they tiny parts that TE makes make all the difference at Indy.

The Conditions.

A key takeaway from this work was TE makes parts that can stand up to the harshest conditions. That could be everything from heat and gravity and dirt and dust to errant hot dog wrapper and the occasional unlucky bird.

The Driver

One of the most interesting and least-talked-about autoracing stories is the relationship between the driver and the engineers. This piece explored the rapport between Simona de Silvestro and the team from Andretti and TE Connectivity.

The Data

A race car generates a tremendous amount of data that allows for real-time adjustments during a race. But it takes real engineering know-how to put this to good use.

Formula E

One of my favorite shoots ever, this project took us to the iconic Donington Park in England, where we were able to hover a drone about six inches from the hood of a verrrry expensive racecar.
