October 24, 2007 – Charleston, SC – Sid Evans has been named Editor-in-Chief of Garden & Gun, it was announced today by Rebecca Darwin, the magazine’s President and Publisher. Garden & Gun was recently nominated as one of the 15 hottest launches out of over 700 magazines by Dr. Samir Husni and MIN magazine.
Further investigation at the Garden and Gun website tells me the mag isn’t actually about how to turn a bed of azaleas into a bloody war zone, but instead is:

I recall seeing an article about them somewhere, and someone (don’t you love the specificity of my recall?) said that their target audience caught the intended meaning of the title immediately.
